Ammo Prices - December 2024

Despite historical high inflation from massive government spending, ammo prices have been trending down.  And with record high crime rates, Ammo would make a good Christmas Present.

With few exceptions, ammo prices are down since 2023.

Prices on 380 are at a low point, with Winchester JHP 95g available for 27.95 for a box of 50.  This is the lowest I've seen in years.  During tight supply 380's disappear quickly, so this is a good time to stock up.

Here is the link for these:  50 Round Box - 380 Auto 95 Grain Jacketed Hollow Point Winchester Personal Protection Ammo - USA380JHP | SGAmmo.com

Prices for Target 9mm are also lower but Personal Protection rounds remain high, in part due to low volume and being premium brands.  There is a shortage on the nickel plated silver casings. There are some notable savings to be had buying in volume.

If I was looking for name brand target rounds, the link below is where I would start:

9mm 115gr FMJ 1000 | Bulk Ammo For Sale

At publication time you could buy 1,000 rounds for $215 (plus shipping) with 48,000 in stock.  I like name brand when I'm stocking up and likely to have them stored for many years.

Prices for 5.56 are also down, but after the recent election, and an all time high record stock market, demand and prices could increase.

Notice that the 1,000 bulk ammo prices are higher than buying the small 20 boxes, and here is a link that is worth trying:

PMC 5.56X X-Tac 5.56x45mm NATO 55 gr Full Metal Jacket Boat Tail (FMJBT) 20rd Bx [Limit 12]] | Gman Sport
