Ingredients:
1 - pound Hamburger
2 - 14.5 oz cans of Stewed tomatoes (or frozen)
1 - cup white rice
2 - cups elbow macaroni
12 - cups of water
Salt & Pepper
Steps:
- Brown Hamburger and drain thoroughly
- Add Tomatoes and 12 cups of water, then bring to a rapid boil
- Add rice and macaroni & stir
- Cover and simmer on low fire for 20 minutes without opening the lid and do NOT stir
- Open, stir, salt & pepper to taste then cook uncovered for 5 - 10 more minutes
- Turn fire off, cover and let sit for 10 minutes
This dish really goes good with MeMaw's famous corn bread or corn fritters.
